Israeli campers attended the Steve & Shari Sadek Family Camp Interlaken JCC in Eagle River for two weeks this past summer. They are all now back in Israel. They were part of the Campers2Gether program, which brought young people from all over Israel to camps across the United States, after evacuation from their homes since Oct. 7. The campers who attended Camp Interlaken JCC came from Yad Mordechai. This is the community that partners with Milwaukee Jewish Federation as part of C2G, Communities2Gether, a program which brings communities from the Gaza Envelope together with Federations to help rebuild the kibbutzim and areas affected by Oct. 7. The program was sponsored by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation with Israel Emergency Funds, and the Jewish Agency for Israel, with support from Camp Interlaken JCC.
